We’re building real change — from farms to city streets.
The Niyi Ogungbade Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to building a thriving, inclusive food economy by supporting the people at the core of Nigeria’s food system. Our work is rooted in two critical pillars: sustainable food production in rural areas and food distribution through women-owned businesses in urban areas.
Improving the livelihoods of rural farmers and women in food-related trades by providing access to financing, training, modern farming technologies, and clustering models that foster sustainability and inclusive growth.
To empower rural farmers and women in food systems through sustainable developmental financing and cooperative initiatives, driving growth, food security, and prosperity across rural communities and along food systems.
The Niyi Ogungbade Foundation aligns its mission with global efforts to build a more equitable and sustainable world. Our programs directly support three key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
By providing developmental financing and cooperative structures, we lift smallholder farmers and female entrepreneurs out of poverty. Through loans, grants, and shared resources, we enable them to grow wealth, reinvest in their communities, and break intergenerational cycles of deprivation.
We champion food production and distribution initiatives to ensure that families across Nigeria have consistent access to nutritious, affordable food. From mechanized farming and climate-smart methods to food safety training for women vendors, we’re building resilient systems that nourish communities now and for generations to come.
Our programs are economic engines in their own right—creating income opportunities, formal employment, and entrepreneurship. Farmers receive machinery services, digital tools, and training. Foodpreneurs gain certification, financial literacy, and loans. These efforts collectively build dignified livelihoods and strengthen local economies.

The first time I encountered the dedicated team from Good Heart, I was greeted not just with supplies but with genuine empathy. It wasn't just about distributing essentials; it was about acknowledging our pain, our fears, and our dreams for a better tomorrow.
